Another Missing Link Distortion

The new “missing link,” as touted by recent media promotion, is largely unconvincing even for evolutionary paleontologists. “There is little doubt that the hype surrounding the fossilized lemur ‘Ida’ is primarily bluff and bluster. But her media campaign may actually be a more significant story than the fossil itself.” Why is the media hype about Ida so out of proportion with the actual data?
