		<description>I appreciate your comment and question, Barry. I believe the scholarship level is similar for both NIV Study Bible and the ESV Study Bible. Because of some advances in biblical scholarship and technology, I like to think that the ESV Study Bible should improve on the NIV Study Bible. Having access to the online edition should prove helpful for those who purchase the ESV Study Bible.</description>

		<description>Thank you for the information! I have used the NIV Study Bible for many years. I am more familiar with the contributors there. I see some familiar names in the ESV list. However, there are many with whom I am not familiar. Having been out of seminary for 12 years, this could be expected.

Does the ESV list of contributors rank with or exceed the NIV Study Bible in your opinion?</description>
