About

Hello, my name is Bob McCabe and thanks for looking at my blog.

I developed an interest in Old Testament studies while earning a Master of Divinity degree at Temple Baptist Theological Seminary in Chattanooga, TN. This interest in the Old Testament influenced me to pursue that area of study at Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, IN where I earned a Master of Theology degree followed by a Doctor of Theology degree in Old Testament Languages and Literature. I serve as a Professor of Old Testament and Registrar at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary in Allen Park, MI.

The purpose of my blog is to provide current information about my areas of study and about seminary life at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, along with occasional forays into subjects of general interest for conservative Christians. While I encourage comments, I will not post any anonymous or questionable comments.

I have recommended the following blogs because I have found benefited from each one and am confident that others could likewise profit, though my endorsement should not be taken to mean that I endorse everything found on a listed blog. You may return to the original page by clicking my blog

To gain a more complete picture about how I developed an interest in blogging as well as the ins-and-outs of how I chose the title for my blog along with the icon for my blog, read my post "Fearing God in Hebel World."
